Conveniently packaged in one box, VMS works directly with VA Maternity Care Coordinators nationwide to provide personalized lactation kits and access to lactation consultation, helping mothers navigate their breastfeeding journey with confidence and success.

One customizable kit, one solution
VMS collaborates with VA Maternity Care Coordinators across the country to create customized lactation kits tailored to the needs of their Maternity Care Program. Tailored to align with VA protocols and clinical preferences, these kits are designed to help Veterans successfully navigate every stage of their breastfeeding journey.
Kits includes:
- A customized lactation kit
- Personalized lactation consultation by phone or video
- Resources to help Veterans get started with confidence
What to expect:
Once a lactation kit order is received, a VMS Maternity Care Specialist will contact the Veteran directly to gather additional details so we can personalize the kit with the appropriate size and product selections.
Once the information is confirmed:
- Customized kit will be prepared and shipped.
- Most kits arrive within 10–14 days.
- Inside each kit is a Lactation Consultation ID along with instructions for scheduling consultation.
- Veterans can select the consultation option that works best for them and schedule at their convenience.
